After her husband's early death she gave her life to God and to the poor. In Foligno she led a community of Franciscan women who prayed, did penance and served others without being enclosed behind convent walls, which was unusual for nuns at the time. In 1403 Pope Boniface IX approved their way of life. The community grew into the women's branch of the Franciscan Third Order Regular. She died in Foligno in 1435. Her cult was confirmed in 1825.
Angeline of Marsciano was beatified in 1825.
