Celina Chludzińska was born in 1833 near Orsha, in present-day Belarus, to a Polish landowning family. She felt called to religious life, but at her parents' wish she married Józef Borzęcki at twenty. They had four children, two of whom died as infants.
In 1869 her husband had a stroke. She moved the family to Vienna for his treatment and nursed him until his death in 1874. As a widow she went to Rome with her daughters. There, with her daughter Jadwiga, she founded the Sisters of the Resurrection in 1891 to teach girls and serve families. She died in Kraków in 1913. She was beatified in 2007.
Celine Borzecka was beatified in 2007 by Benedict XVI.
