From 1928 she taught at the village school of Hornachuelos, between Córdoba and Seville, and threw herself into parish life and adult classes. When the Spanish Civil War broke out in 1936, militias there turned on Catholics. She was arrested on August 11 and shot the next day at the edge of a mine shaft with a group of men, encouraging them to stay faithful. She was beatified in 1993.
Victoria Díez Bustos de Molina was beatified in 1993.
