Nemesianus, Felix and the others were Numidian bishops who were sent to work in the mines under Valerian. They had been beaten with clubs.
St. Cyprian wrote them a letter rejoicing in their glory. He told them that Christians should not shrink from a club, since all their hope is in the wood of the cross. Baring-Gould gives about 257.
