Roman and Gallican Martyrologies. Authority: — A life by Anso, Abbot of Lobes, d. 8oo, his contemporary, at least he had known Ermine in his youth.] S. Ermine was born at Erclie, near Laon, and was ordained priest by Madalgar, bishop of Laon. Shortly after, Ermine became a monk under S. Ursmar, abbot of Lobes.
