Their story

Adapted in modern English from Alban Butler's Lives of the Saints · Baring-Gould original below · little is known

Julian, a Cilician of a senatorial family at Anazarbus, was a minister of the gospel arrested in Dioclesian's persecution. Butler's source is St. Chrysostom's panegyric.

For a whole year the judge had him dragged through the towns of Cilicia, which only let him encourage the Christians there. He bore every kind of torture.
